16 of us had a great day of golfing at Chardonnay Golf Club in American Valley.  Nice course and great weather.  However, the only issue about this place … it is so easy to lose a ball in the immediate roughs just off the fairways because the ball drops to the bottom and the grass covers up the ball well.  Golfers were able to see their golf balls enter the immediate roughs but can’t find them when they got to that area!  Quite a few golfers lost strokes because they had to take drops due to lost balls.  Nonetheless, it was a great experience for us all!

Golf Reality

12th hole – a player hit his tee shot onto the green, 3 feet 2 inches from the pin but lost the CTP to another player who hit his to 2 feet 11 inches!

8th hole – a player hit his tee shot onto the green, 70 feet from the pin and won the CTP for that hole!

Maddening, huh?
