December 30 Meeting Report:
We had our NCGAD meeting at Buffalo Wild Wings today (12/30/2021) and 16 members were there and that satisfied the quorum of 16 members needed to make it official.
We have changed the Board for NCGAD and the new members/positions are:
President – Eric Kunze
Vice President – Charles Holmes
Tournament Director – Robert Herin
Treasurer/Handicap – David Smario
Bylaws/Procedures – Jerome Nichols
Congrats to all for being inducted onto the Board!
We all also had great conversations and discussions regarding a few topics and the decision is that the Board will discuss those topics in depth and create proposals for members to vote on and put in effect for 2022 season. The topics that the Board will discuss and make proposals for members to vote on are:
-Tee Boxes (age vs HC)- Handicap System (a few ideas/suggestions were discussed during meeting, Board will propose voting options and use for 2022 Season)- Hosts and Schedule for 2022 Season- Scoring methods (via scorecards) for tournaments- Prizes- “Ace” pot
3 notes from the meeting:
– Joey Baer volunteered to help create an NCGAD webside as a go-to location for all members to access for information such as schedules, results, etc. and he claimed the NCGAD.org address so that worked out great … big thanks to Joey for this!!!
– Robert Herin volunteered to be the host of the first tournament for 2022 Season and it will be on February 5th at Diablo Creek. This is tentative for now so keep your eyes peeled for this! Also, if you want to volunteer to host a tournament in your location for NCGAD, please contact us Board Members so we can add you to the list for hosts/locations.
– Clark Brooke volunteered to host the 2022 Holiday Tournament (what we had today) for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Be on the lookout for more information on that when the time approaches!
