11/2/2024 Meeting Report

November 2, 2024 NCGAD Meeting at Tilden Park – 21 members in attendance (Quorum Met):

New Changes (in Red):

Membership fees– Single payment of $20- Due before your first qualified NCGAD tournament in 2025- Must pay to have voting power for 2025 NCGAD-wide meetings/voting opportunities

Prize Structure – as developed by Prize Committee and is optional for players (members and guests)

– $10 ($8 to prize pool and $2 to NCGAD coffers)
– 2 CTP (participating members and guests)—- $15 each—- all will play on FORWARD tees (typically Red) for all tournaments—- CTP will be conducted on shortest forward tees for each 9 holes (one for front 9 and one for back 9)- Net Scores prizes based on spreadsheet that Prize Committee recommended to exhaust remaining prize $$$ (participating members only)- New sub-menu will be created in NCGAD.org to contain all info related to Prize Structure including spreadsheet for transparency

No Changes:

Schedule– Will post in NCGAD.org
– October stay open and any cancelled tournament due to inclement weather will be moved to October

HC System
– Charles Holmes and David Smario are in charge of HC and Adj. HC- Use only NCGAD tournaments as basis for determining HC—- based on USGA Handicap Calculator
–cumulative NCGAD tournaments results- Guests play 3 tournaments to qualify for:

–membership status after paying Membership Fee–assigned HC based on those 3 tournaments-

 Adj. HC based on 3 criteria: HC, course rating, and course slope
Match Play Tournament
– $20 entry fee
– Single elimination
– Charles Holmes is in charge of this

Board to discuss and bring to vote via online before 2025 if possible:

– Create an NCGAD group to raise funds via various means such as Super Bowl Pool, March Madness Brackets, PGA Majors, etc.

– Player of the Tournament/Year (criteria, prizes, committee to develop and keep track of)
